Marius was not from senatorial family, but an equestrian family, and yet he rose up from the ranks. In 107 B.C. Marius wanted to run for consulship but Metellus said he could become a general only when Metellus’ son ran for senate. Selection as an a officer for the Indian Air Force is a stringent procedure. After a written examination candidates are interviewed by the Air Force Selection board. this interview is spread over 3 days and includes Pilot Aptitude test, Psychological tests and Group Tasks. The final merit list is prepared and candidates are recommended for training.

Totalitarianism is a form of government that puts absolute power in the hands of an individual, or a group of people such as a political party or special committee. The goal of the implementation of the ideology of those in power becomes the absolute focus of the government. Those that oppose the ultimate control by the totalitarian regime are considered enemies of the state.
