I suspect that nearly all of those who would vote against Obama because of his gay marriage stance would not be voting for him anyway, had he not announced it. Thus, I don't think it will affect the outcome of the election. more

The truth is Congress has already passed it. It was called the "Wall Street reform and Consumer Protection Act" and it was not only passed by both the House and the Senate but it was signed into law by President Obama back in July of 2010. Communism is inherently flawed by rewarding non-performers and punishing over-achievers. This is the reason communism failed in any country which tried to implement it. Even communist countries like Russia and China finally were forced to embrace market economy in limited scale to revive their economy.
